My Winter Plan!
(I've added this and related posts to a new Plans category - see below.)
I struggled through last winter, so this year I have a plan. Not a plan to just get through it, but a plan to really enjoy it and live it!
A few years ago when things were tough I had a box that I filled with things that brought me joy - things to do, things to inspire me, things to read, silly things, funny things, comforting things, beautiful things… You get the picture. It was my Emergency Box of Joy, to be opened on very difficult days.
When I read about putting together a ‘hygge emergency kit’ in The Little Book of Hygge recently, it reminded me of my Box of Joy and planted the seed of an idea.
This winter I am going to be embracing life and taking action. So I am filling a box with Whims, Wishes and Wonders!
It sounds frivolous, and part of it is (yay!), but it’s also going to be the starting point for a winter of fulfilment and joy, and I’m hoping might even give me a bit more of an idea about what my next step in life may be…
Blogging time is limited at the moment so I’ll explain the 3 elements over the next few posts. (There may be a bit of a wait between posts, I have my two biggest Christmas Fairs coming up.)
If you think you might like to join in then you’ll need a box. Shoebox size or larger, and nice to look at. Paint it, cover it in wrapping paper, stickers, decoupage... Or keep it simple, whatever you like - just make it yours.
Next time… Whims!
