You may have come across Rescue Remedy, but are you familiar with the other 38 remedies?
Some people are sceptical about the idea of flower remedies and it may or may not be your thing, but I can only tell you that in my experience they have been very helpful.
For example, I got out of balance last week so I took Elm - 'overwhelmed by responsibility', White Chestnut - 'unwanted thoughts and mental arguments' (overly busy mind), and Olive - 'exhaustion following mental or physical effort'.
It didn't take me long to get back into balance again. They've also helped me through very tough times, especially 'Star of Bethlehem'.
The description that always makes me laugh is of Hornbeam - 'tiredness at the thought of doing something'... Brilliant for that pre-tax return lethargy!
If you're interested there's lots of information on the Bach Centre website and you can find the guide to the 38 remedies here. Click each remedy for a more detailed description. If nothing else, just looking down the list and assessing which ones match your emotional state can be helpful in itself. Sometimes when we're out of balance we can't pinpoint exactly what we're dealing with or what we need until we see it in front of us...
There's also a brilliant encyclopaedia by Mechthild Scheffer (expensive - on my wishlist!) that goes into a lot more detail but in a very easy to understand way. There might be a copy in your library if you want to know more.
