My total internet break hasn't quite happened this time - too many admin things to attend to that can only be done online, but I have had some good time away from it too.
While I was on a roll with admin I finally braved what I usually dread and avoid - I phoned my service providers to get better deals and reduce my bills...
It was worth it. For the sake of three phone calls (electricity, mobile and internet providers) I've saved myself £335 a year.
I really detest making those calls, especially to big call centres with lots of numbered options to choose from and horrible music while you wait, but as soon as you say that you're leaving for another provider, you usually get put through to friendly helpful people in the 'retentions' department who work very, very hard to keep you!
So if you're putting it off like I usually do, be brave! It took less than half an hour in total and the satisfaction of saving £335 wiped out any post-traumatic stress I might have felt!
What do you put off doing?
