Just two more days of making and one more market and then the pre-Christmas production line will be over for another year. Yay!
I'm looking forward to a rest and to be able to do some other things. Having had to start in September I'm pretty much over Christmas now! Fortunately it will be a simple one for me, with a few of my favourite festive things thrown in. I do enjoy a bit of seasonal magic.
Also not long now until the Winter solstice when the light will start making its return. I love that thought.
The sun finally shone again today after a few murky days and it made so much difference. With the mild temperatures it actually felt and smelt a little bit like Spring. I've had the windows open all afternoon and the house smells fresh and feels energised.
It's something I try to do each day, even if it's very cold outside because a change of air can make so much difference to energy levels and state of mind, and brings a sense of vitality into the house. A simple way to lift the lethargy that can set in at this time of year. I usually do it briefly in the morning and then for a little bit longer in the late afternoon just before I light the log burner so that the house will warm up again pretty quickly!
I hope you're finding plenty of ways to revitalise. At this time of year when things can be a bit overwhelming it's good to focus on our own wellbeing too.
